We were able to make the drive from Hurricane Ridge to the parking area for Sol Duc Falls in about 45 minutes. This included time to admire the scenery along the way. The hike down to the falls is relatively easy and took about 20 minutes. We passed families with children along the hiking trail and also a few signs that said bears and cougars were known to frequent the area.

Sol Duc Falls is arguably the best waterfall that Olympic National Park has to offer. Visitors can stand on an old wooden bridge and get covered in mist from the rushing water below. During the hike to the falls, we suggest you stop and look up to the sky, as the tall trees offer stunning views. Check out some of our photos from the hike and the falls below!
